閣下想必看過纏綿悱惻、賺人熱淚的奧斯卡鉅片「鐵達尼號」，這首歌的主題曲「My heart will go on」隨著影片的賣座而傳唱大街小巷。據唱片公司統計，光是在台灣一地，就賣了破紀錄的130萬張原聲帶，只要提起這首歌，大家總是順口說出CD上的中文譯名「愛無止盡」，約定俗成的認定這就是它的中文歌名。關於這一點，在下其實一直很不爽，My heart will go on =愛無止盡？？？稍有大腦的人都看得出來，英文歌名中根本沒有" love "這個字，這已經嚴重違反翻譯三大原則「信、雅、達」中的第一要項，也就是「信」：忠於原文的要求。 　 My heart will go on這個歌名的確不好翻。看過電影的人都知道，這個歌名意指電影中鐵達尼號沉沒後，男女主角夾克及螺絲沉浮在冰天雪地的大海中，身子泅浸在海水裡的夾克，對攀附在浮板上的螺絲說，當他死後，不論如何，她都要堅持下去，不可放棄求生的意志。萬念俱灰的螺絲，在夾克沉入海底以後，信守承諾而獲救，並且活到102歲，因為她始終記得夾克的遺言，她的心永遠為他前進(go on有繼續、前進的意思)。 　 看到這兒，閣下應該很清楚「愛無止盡」這個譯名是犯了多大的錯誤，就好像把「太陽出來了」引申為「今天天氣很好」一樣，雖然說的過去，卻暴露了翻譯者行事草率及程度上的低能(這還包括該原聲帶CD內頁這首歌的歌詞翻譯 )，安某將它翻成「我心永不止息」，雖不是最好，起碼比它高明一些。 　 。

這是電影「因為你愛過我」的主題曲。英文片名是"Up close and personal"，台灣片商乾脆用主題曲來當片名，印證了席琳狄翁這位天后的魅力。 電影內容是描述女主角蜜雪兒菲佛雄心壯志想要在新聞界闖出名號，她先從地方性的電視台播報氣象開始，並受到男主角勞勃瑞福的指點與提攜，一步一步成為全國電視網的新聞主播。在她最意氣風發的時候，亦師亦友的勞勃瑞福卻在一次採訪任務中喪生。這也是為何這首歌名是採過去式的寫法。 席琳狄翁詮釋這首歌確實是不做第二人想，值得一提的卻是這首的作曲者戴安華倫(Diane Warren)，90年代的她曾經寫出多首冠軍單曲，唱片公司及歌手們都渴望能和她合作。除了"Because you loved me"，「空中監獄」主題曲"How do I live"、「世界末日」主題曲"I don't want to miss a thing"、「珍珠港」主題曲"There you'll be"等，都是她筆下極受歡迎的作品。
